In a remarkable display of skill, the Indian duo of Vanshika Chaudhary and Shiva Narwal earned a silver medal in the mixed team junior event for the 10 m air pistol at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026, taking place in Suhl, Germany, on Wednesday. Their steady performance contributed significantly to India's successful outing at the championship.

With this latest achievement, India's total medal count has reached 16, comprising 5 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze medals. The Indian team has consistently showcased its prowess, leading the medal standings and demonstrating strong performances in various events, including individual, team, and mixed team categories, as reported by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).
Highlights of India's Performance
On Monday, Pritam Kendre secured a gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men Junior event, marking the fifth gold for India in this championship. Additionally, the women's junior team, consisting of Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta, and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher, clinched a bronze in the 25m Pistol event.
Another bronze was achieved in the 25m Pistol Men Junior Team event, where Abhinav Choudhary, Raj Chandra, and Jatin showcased a strong team effort. Earlier, Anvii Rathod also contributed to the medal tally by winning bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Women Junior event, further enhancing India's impressive performance at the championship.
