Indian Shooters Secure Silver in Team Event

The Indian shooting team, consisting of Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Pratap Tomar, and Niraj Kumar, achieved a silver medal in the men's 50 m rifle 3 positions team event during the Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya on Friday.

With a final score of 1762-94x, India fell short of the gold medal, which was claimed by China with a score of 1766-95x. South Korea took home the bronze with a score of 1751-87x. India, which had previously won gold in this event at the 2022 Asian Games, lost its title to China.

This victory marks India's 18th medal at the current Asian Games, which includes one gold, eight silvers, and nine bronzes. In the individual standings, Aishwary secured third place with a score of 589-34x, while Niraj followed closely in fourth with 588-34x. Both have qualified for the individual finals, whereas Rudrankksh, with a score of 585-26x, finished ninth and did not qualify.
