Indian Parliamentary Delegation to Visit Guyana to Address Terrorism
Bipartisan Delegation to Guyana
A parliamentary delegation from India, led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, is set to embark on a visit to Guyana starting Sunday. The mission aims to convey India's firm stance against all forms of terrorism, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy.
During their three-day visit, the delegation will engage in discussions with Guyana's leadership, media representatives, and members of the Indian diaspora, as well as key allies in the country. This initiative underscores India's commitment to solidarity and brotherhood, alongside a collective resolve to eradicate terrorism.
Additionally, the delegation will participate in the 50th Independence Day celebrations organized by the Guyanese government on May 25. The team includes notable figures such as Sarfaraz Ahmed from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Ganapati Harish Madhur Balayogi from the Telugu Desam Party, Shashank Mani Tripathi and Bhuvaneshwar Kalita from the BJP, Milind Deora from Shiv Sena, Tejasvi Surya from the BJP, and former Indian Ambassador to the USA, Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
