Health Camp Initiative by Indian Navy

The Indian Navy is set to conduct a health camp in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep from January 12 to 16 as part of its health service expansion and civil-military cooperation programs. This announcement was made in a press release issued on Saturday.


The five-day event will be inaugurated by Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff.


The primary goal of this camp is to provide residents of the Union Territory with expert consultations, treatment services, and various surgical facilities, including cataract surgeries. This initiative is part of the Navy's ongoing efforts to support and enhance the existing healthcare infrastructure in Lakshadweep under Navy Day.


Senior naval officials will be present at the inauguration ceremony, including Vice Admiral Samir Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, Surgeon Vice Admiral Aarti Sarin, Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services, and Surgeon Vice Admiral Kavita Sahai, Director General of Naval Medical Services.
