Historic Back-to-Back Gold for India

The Indian men's hockey team achieved a historic milestone by winning the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games, defeating Malaysia 5-1 in the final. This victory marked back-to-back gold medals at the continental event, as India successfully defended its title for the first time, having previously won in 2022. This triumph also represents India's fifth gold medal in men's hockey at the Asian Games, following victories in 1966, 1998, 2014, and 2022.
