Indian Golf Stars Set to Compete at Singapore Open
Indian Golfers Gear Up for Singapore Open
A mix of renowned Indian golfers and emerging talents from the vibrant Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) will compete against Asia's finest at the Singapore Open, part of the International Series and the Asian Tour, according to a recent announcement.
Taking place at the Serapong course of Sentosa Golf Club, the Singapore Open marks the second event in this year's Liv-backed International Series, following the tournament held in Japan last month.
IGPL Players in the Lineup
The Indian contingent features seven players, five of whom have achieved notable success on the IGPL Tour over the past eight months. Among them are Pukhraj Singh Gill, the 2025 IGPL Order of Merit champion, and Sachin Baisoya, who recently clinched victory at the IGPL Invitational Mauritius hosted by Leander Paes. Additionally, Karandeep Kochhar, who won on the ADT Tour in Egypt in 2025, and the champion of the IGPL Invitational Dubai in December 2025, will also participate.
Indian Legends Lead the Charge
Gaganjeet Bhullar, the most accomplished player from the IGPL group, is also the leading Indian golfer on the Asian Tour with 11 victories. At 37, Bhullar is regarded as a legend in Indian golf, ranking third on the all-time Asian Tour wins list.
Jeev Milkha Singh, widely recognized as the greatest Indian professional golfer, will also compete. He boasts six Asian Tour wins, four Japan Tour victories, and four DP World Tour titles. Notably, he won the Singapore Open in 2008 at the same Sentosa Golf Course. In December, Jeev ended a lengthy title drought by winning the IGPL Invitational Colombo.
Joining him is SSP Chawrasia, a six-time Asian Tour winner and two-time Indian Open champion, whose six victories include four on the DP World Tour, co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour.
Shiv Kapur, the 2005 Asian Tour Rookie of the Year, remains competitive with four wins in Asia and has also participated in Major tournaments, alongside Jeev and Bhullar.

The IGPL Tour 2026 is currently in progress, having already hosted three events. Bhullar secured victory in the first event in Chandigarh, followed by Baisoya's win in Mauritius and Udayan Mane's triumph in Joburg, South Africa.
