On Wednesday, members of the Indian cricket squad made a visit to the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple in Mumbai. This visit took place just before their T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal match against England, which is set for Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Notable players such as Axar Patel, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma were part of this spiritual journey.

In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, India has shown a commendable performance overall, winning six out of their seven matches. Their only setback was a 76-run defeat against South Africa in the Super 8s stage. However, the team is yet to achieve a flawless display where batting, bowling, and fielding all align perfectly.

After the loss to South Africa, the Suryakumar Yadav-led team faced a crucial match against the West Indies, which they needed to win. Thanks to a stellar performance by Sanju Samson, who scored an unbeaten 97 runs, India secured a five-wicket victory, ensuring their place in the semifinals.
