In retaliation, India initiated 'Operation Sindoor' on May 7, 2025, targeting terrorist launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to bring these criminals to justice. Alongside 'Sindoor', 'Operation Mahadev' was also launched, aimed at locating terrorists hiding in the mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir. For the first time, soldiers from the Special Forces and the National Rifles have detailed the mission that led to the elimination of three Pakistani terrorists responsible for the deadly assault in the Basran Valley. Concerns were frequently raised that the terrorists might escape or receive assistance from local operatives, but the Indian Army, with the support of local residents, successfully isolated the attackers, ensuring that they received no external aid.
