While he appeared to be an ordinary employee on the outside, he was secretly acting as a soldier for the enemy, selling India's missile secrets to Pakistan over the past two years. According to investigative agencies, Kumar made contact with handlers in Pakistan in 2023 and gradually succumbed to the lure of money, beginning to sell classified information about the country's missile systems. This sensitive data, which should have remained within the military, was leaked to the enemy nation.

The investigation revealed that Kumar shared critical information, including the deployment of fighter aircraft, missile systems, and the locations and activities of Air Force stations, including NAL and Chabua.
