Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women's cricket team, expressed that her squad is approaching the upcoming T20I series against South Africa with a strong sense of confidence and a strategic focus on gaining momentum ahead of the T20 World Cup.

In a statement made prior to the first T20I of the five-match series scheduled for April 17, Harmanpreet noted that the team's confidence has surged following their performance in the ODI World Cup. She emphasized the importance of this series as a preparatory phase for future global competitions. 'Post-ODI World Cup, our team is brimming with confidence. We are heading into the South Africa series with a serious mindset, aiming to play exceptional cricket,' she remarked.


Equal Opportunities for All Players

Harmanpreet highlighted that the upcoming series will be vital for ensuring all players receive equal chances to showcase their skills before the final squad for the World Cup is determined. 'These matches leading up to the T20 World Cup are crucial for providing equal opportunities to all players. We want to ensure that by the time we enter the World Cup, we feel fully prepared with our entire squad,' she stated.

The captain also praised emerging talent Anushka Sharma, underscoring the significance of exposing young players to high-caliber international cricket. 'Anushka Sharma is a remarkable talent.
