Final Preparations for India U17 Team

The Indian U17 men's football squad is set to engage in two friendly matches against Qatar on April 25 and April 28 in Doha. These matches will serve as the team's final preparations ahead of the AFC U17 Asian Cup scheduled for Saudi Arabia in 2026. Both encounters will be held behind closed doors, with kick-off times set for 21:30 IST, as per the announcement from the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Current Training and Upcoming Matches

Currently, the Blue Colts are in Thailand, where they are playing two friendly matches against the United Arab Emirates. They secured a 1-0 victory in the first match held on Friday. Following the second match on Tuesday, the team will head to Doha on April 22. After their stay in Doha, they will travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on April 30.

AFC U17 Asian Cup Group Stage Details

In the upcoming AFC U17 Asian Cup, India is placed in Group D, where they will face Australia on May 6, Uzbekistan on May 10, and DPR Korea on May 13.

The complete squad of 24 players will travel to Doha, with the final 23-member team for the Asian Cup to be announced shortly before the tournament.
