The Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated the 'India Pavilion' today at the Mobile World Congress 2026. This event is recognized as one of the leading global platforms for technology and telecommunications, where discussions on the future of connectivity are taking place.

Addressing the media, the Minister emphasized that as the world contemplates the future of connectivity in the 'IQ Era', India stands at the intersection of intelligence and infrastructure, fostering the potential for connectivity and inclusive innovation.

Scindia highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's telecommunications transformation has been rooted in indigenous research and development (R&D), a reliable telecom ecosystem, the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, and deep integration into global value chains.

While standing in Barcelona, the Minister conveyed a clear message: India is not only building networks for its 1.4 billion citizens but is also creating a reliable digital bridge for the world. Inspired by the spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', we believe that connectivity should empower humanity, strengthen partnerships, and pave the way for shared prosperity.

This year, over 40 Indian companies from various sectors of the telecommunications value chain are participating in the 'India Pavilion'. Their presence spans diverse fields such as 4G/5G and emerging 6G technologies, Open RAN, optical and satellite communications, semiconductor design, AI-based network intelligence, cybersecurity, telecom software, and digital platforms. This extensive participation reflects the growing global confidence in India's telecom capabilities and its rapidly evolving innovation ecosystem.

During his visit to the India Pavilion, the Minister observed various company stalls and engaged in detailed discussions with representatives. He particularly praised the indigenous technologies and innovative solutions of Indian companies, including SignalChip and C-DOT. The efforts of these companies in areas such as telecom hardware, semiconductor design, AI-enabled platforms, and next-generation network infrastructure are crucial for strengthening India's self-reliant and globally competitive telecom ecosystem.

The Minister stated that the strong presence of Indian innovators at the India Pavilion demonstrates India's commitment to building secure networks, developing AI-driven telecom infrastructure, promoting a reliable digital ecosystem, and expanding telecom exports globally.
