India showcased an outstanding performance at the World Boxing Cup 2026 (Stage 2), with Prachi leading the way as the nation confirmed six medals after a strong quarterfinal showing. Prachi (57kg) delivered an exceptional performance, defeating Shih Yi Wu from Chinese Taipei, a bronze medallist from the Paris Olympics, with a hard-fought 4-1 decision, ensuring her place in the semifinals and a guaranteed podium finish.


Minakshi's Remarkable Victory

Minakshi, ranked World No. 1 in the 48kg category, moved up to compete in the 51kg division and continued her impressive streak by achieving a decisive 5-0 victory over Kazakhstan's Alua Balkibekova, the reigning world champion (2025) and currently ranked No. 3. This victory stands out as one of the most significant of the day.


Men's Boxers Secure Their Medals

In the men's events, Deepak (70kg) showcased a composed performance, defeating Azerbaijan's Nabi Isgandarov with a unanimous 5-0 decision.
