India Establishes Control Room Amid Escalating Middle East Conflict

In response to escalating tensions in the Middle East, India has set up a control room to assist its citizens stranded in the region. This move follows a series of military operations that resulted in significant casualties, including the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The situation has led to increased missile and drone attacks, prompting the Indian government to take swift action. Citizens can reach out to the control room using designated contact numbers, while emergency contacts for Indian embassies in various countries are also provided. The conflict has intensified, with retaliatory strikes occurring across the region.

The conflict erupted on Saturday, February 28, when the US and Israel launched multiple airstrikes in Iran, resulting in the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials. Both nations described this as a significant military operation. Iranian state media later confirmed Khamenei's death, escalating hostilities and prompting widespread retaliatory attacks.

Since then, the region has witnessed a surge in attacks and counterattacks, with Iran targeting Israeli assets, US military bases, and key locations in the Gulf.
