ICC Rankings Overview
The Indian cricket team continues to shine on the global stage, maintaining its top position in both ODI and T20 formats according to the latest annual ICC team rankings. While Australia leads in Test cricket, India's stronghold in limited-overs formats marks a significant achievement for Indian cricket.
India's T20I Supremacy
In the annual rankings released by the ICC, India has secured the number one spot in both Men's ODI and T20 International rankings. Notably, after winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup for the second consecutive year, India's dominance in T20 cricket has been further solidified. The Indian team holds 275 rating points, leading England, which has 262 points, and Australia, which stands at 258 points.
ODI Rankings: India Remains on Top
India has also retained its top position in the ODI rankings, currently holding 118 rating points. Although this is a slight decrease of one point, India is still five points ahead of New Zealand, which has 113 points. Australia follows closely with 109 points. South Africa has made a remarkable leap in the ODI rankings, surpassing Pakistan to claim the fourth spot, while Sri Lanka remains in sixth place. Afghanistan, England, Bangladesh, and the West Indies occupy the seventh to tenth positions, respectively.
Australia Leads in Test Rankings

India has climbed to third place with 104 points, while England has slipped to fourth with 102 points. Pakistan has gained an advantage in the latest rankings, surpassing Sri Lanka with 89 points. The West Indies, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe round out the rankings in eighth, ninth, and tenth places, respectively.
Ranking Methodology
The ICC's annual rankings are based on matches played after May 2025, which carry a 100% weightage, while matches from the previous two years contribute 50%. Upcoming bilateral series and ICC tournaments could lead to significant changes in these rankings.
