The standout performer was debutant left-arm spinner Manav Suthar, who achieved an impressive six-wicket haul during the opening session of Day 3 on Monday. By lunch, Afghanistan had reached 18 runs without losing a wicket in their second innings, with openers Sediqullah Atal and Abdul Malik showing an aggressive batting style. However, they still trail India by a significant margin of 394 runs.

Suthar's Impressive Debut Performance

Starting the day at 113 for 5, Afghanistan's chances of reducing the deficit were quickly extinguished as India's bowlers efficiently wrapped up their innings in just 58.4 overs. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna struck early by dismissing Azmatullah Omarzai without adding to his overnight score. The morning session was dominated by Suthar, who delivered a remarkable performance on his Test debut.
