Wasim Iqbal Shines in Victory

In a remarkable performance, opener Wasim Iqbal scored an impressive 66 runs off 51 deliveries, leading India B to a commanding 83-run victory over India A in the inaugural match of the three-match Physical Disability T20 Series held at Wankhede Stadium.


India B Sets a High Target

Choosing to field first, India A faced challenges in containing the batting prowess of India B. Iqbal was instrumental, forming a solid 77-run partnership for the second wicket with Vikrant Keni. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, India B managed to post a total of 170 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.


Iqbal's innings included five boundaries and seven sixes, while GS Shiva contributed significantly with a score of 41. Jeetendra VN was the standout bowler for India A, claiming two wickets for 23 runs.


India A Struggles in the Chase

In their attempt to chase down the target, India A faltered early, losing wickets consistently. Only Akash Patil, batting at number eight, managed to put up a fight with a score of 30. Ultimately, India A was dismissed for a mere 87 runs in 16.5 overs.


Ganesh Pisal was the star bowler for India B, taking four wickets for just 25 runs.
