India's Strong Performance in the Team Event

As of day two of the team competition at the Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam, the Indian team remains undefeated, according to a recent announcement. They have successfully reached the quarter-finals and are set to face the strong USA team. The Indian professional squad, which includes Harsh Mehta, Arjun Singh, Anish Froilan, Aman Patel, Pearl Amalsadiwala, Naomi Amalsadiwala, Aaliya Ebrahim, and Mihika Yadav, triumphed over China in the round of 32 with a decisive score of 4-0. Pearl Amalsadiwala and Mihika Yadav kicked off the match with a close win of 21-19, followed by Harsh Mehta and Arjun Singh securing another point for India. In the third tie, Harsh Mehta and Pearl Amalsadiwala clinched a tough match, allowing Arjun Singh and Mihika Yadav to seal the victory against the Chinese team.

The round of 16 presented a challenging matchup against the Philippines, but India emerged victorious with a score of 4-1. The women's doubles team of Pearl and Mihika once again provided the first point for India, while the men's doubles team fought hard but lost the second tie 19-21. The subsequent mixed doubles matches went in India's favor, with Aaliya Ebrahim dominating her opponent 21-12, securing India's place in the quarter-finals.

The Indian Masters, Junior, and Kids squads have all advanced to the quarter-finals, facing teams from Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, and Australia, respectively. Unfortunately, the Indian Senior team was eliminated by New Zealand in the round of 16, concluding their campaign in this World Cup edition.

Masters Squad Triumphs Over China

In a thrilling round of 16 match, the India Masters team narrowly defeated China with a final score of 3-2, with Bhushan Akut and Petulia Balaji dominating the decisive tie 21-9.
