Launch of Somnath Swabhiman Yatra

The 'Somnath Swabhiman Yatra' commenced today from Bhopal, marking its inaugural journey from Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the train at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, carrying 1,100 pilgrims. The first group of this significant pilgrimage was sent off from platform number 1. The cultural department is organizing this prestigious journey under the banner of 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv'.

This special pilgrimage, the first of its kind from Madhya Pradesh, includes a group of 1,100 devotees from various regions of the state. The train has also picked up travelers from Bhopal and Ujjain railway stations as it heads towards Somnath. During this journey, the pilgrims will participate in various cultural events, spiritual rituals, and visit the sacred land of Somnath.

Chief Minister Yadav stated that the government is advancing infrastructure, railways, bridges, roads, and factories while also promoting eternal culture. He expressed pride in this cultural heritage, noting that Prime Minister Modi shares a vision of inclusivity with Sanatan Dharma. The joy experienced in Ayodhya and Mathura is now being felt at Kali Ghat in West Bengal, as divine blessings spread from Gangotri to Ganga Sagar, invigorating the nation with a new democratic spirit.


A Call for Global Prosperity

The Chief Minister encouraged attendees to take advantage of the opportunity to visit Baba Somnath. He congratulated all pilgrims and highlighted the significance of Dwarka Peeth, one of the four sacred seats, where Lord Krishna's divine pastimes have left a lasting impression on hearts. He urged the pilgrims to seek blessings from Baba Somnath for global prosperity and to strengthen cultural awakening and national unity.


Economic Transformation through Spiritual Development

Chief Minister Yadav announced that the state government has initiated helicopter services to religious sites. He emphasized that the government is creating several divine destinations. The establishment of Mahakal Lok has transformed the economic ecosystem significantly. Before 2022, around 2,530,000 visitors came to Ujjain annually, but now, 150,000 people visit daily for darshan. This transformation is positively impacting the lives of hotel owners, street vendors, auto drivers, and shopkeepers.
