Donald Trump Avenue Set to Open in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad's financial district, preparations are underway for the inauguration of 'Donald Trump Avenue', located adjacent to the American consulate. This initiative aims to highlight the growing economic and diplomatic ties between Telangana and the United States. According to a report, the official opening is scheduled for June 23. The proposal to name the road after the American president was first suggested by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in December 2025.

Global Uncertainties Delay Plans

Initially, the project faced delays due to global uncertainties, including tariff disputes with the US and conflicts in the Middle East. However, with tensions easing, the state government has revived the proposal and is moving forward with the inauguration. Reports indicate that US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gore, will attend the ceremony alongside Revanth Reddy. The event may feature several diplomatic activities and celebrations ahead of the US Independence Day on July 4.

Strengthening Commercial Partnerships

A senior government official stated that this initiative reflects the robust commercial partnership between Hyderabad and the US, which has significantly contributed to investment, job creation, and economic growth in the state. The Telangana government is also considering naming additional roads after major tech companies like Google and Microsoft as part of its efforts to position the state as a hub for innovation-based development.

Foundation of the Decision

This decision is rooted in commitments made during the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. During these events, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the role of multinational companies in establishing Hyderabad as one of India's leading technology centers.
