National Conference on Urban Local Bodies

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla, is set to inaugurate the first national conference for the heads of urban local bodies from states and union territories in Manesar, Haryana, on Thursday.


According to a statement released by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, key attendees will include the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Naib Singh Saini, and the Speaker of the Haryana Assembly, Harvinder Kalyan.


The theme of this conference is "Strengthening Constitutional Democracy and the Role of Urban Local Bodies in Nation Building." The closing session will take place on July 4, featuring the Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya.
