Illegal Protein Supplement Factory Uncovered in Delhi: One Arrested
Police Crackdown on Fake Supplement Manufacturing
New Delhi: Authorities have apprehended an individual and dismantled an illicit operation producing counterfeit protein supplements in Rani Khera village, located in the outskirts of Delhi, as reported by officials on Sunday.
The suspect has been named as Naveen Kumar, also known as Banjara, aged 32, and hails from Haryana.
This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation that began after two individuals were detained earlier this month with 150 kilograms of fake supplements and imitation labels.
Following their confessions, a police team conducted a raid on the site, uncovering a hidden facility engaged in the production of counterfeit supplements from well-known brands.
During the operation, law enforcement officials seized sealed containers filled with fake products, counterfeit labels, holograms, empty jars, and raw materials like maltodextrin and flavoring agents, in addition to manufacturing equipment and a QR code printer.
The accused reportedly utilized inexpensive materials to create these fraudulent supplements, distributing them in the market and deceiving consumers, according to police statements.
