IIT Mandi Marks 17 Years of Excellence

The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is set to celebrate its 17th Foundation Day on March 30, highlighting its journey as a prominent institution for academic excellence, innovative research, and contributions to nation-building.

The event is anticipated to attract notable figures from academia, industry, and public service. Kris Gopalakrishnan, a Padma Bhushan awardee and Co-Founder of Infosys, will serve as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Oussama Khatib, a globally recognized roboticist and Director of the Stanford Robotics Lab, will be the Distinguished Guest and will address the attendees.

In a pre-event statement, Director Laxmidhar Behera emphasized that the Foundation Day is a crucial opportunity to reflect on the institute's impressive growth and expanding academic influence. He highlighted that over the last sixteen years, IIT Mandi has transformed into a center for impactful research and innovation, dedicated to nurturing talent, enhancing knowledge, and contributing to national progress.

The ceremony will also feature esteemed Guests of Honour, including Timothy Gonsalves, Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, and Vinay Kumar Pathak. K. J. S. Dhillon, Chairperson of the Board of Governors at IIT Mandi, will preside over the event.
