Tel Aviv: On Tuesday, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) shared what they described as exclusive footage purportedly showing living quarters utilized by the militant group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This release comes amidst heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, despite an ongoing ceasefire. The IDF posted the video on its X account, indicating that Israeli troops had conducted special operations in the Litani region, an area south of what they refer to as the 'Forward Defense Line.' The IDF stated, 'WATCH: Exclusive footage of living quarters used by Hezbollah terrorists.'

In addition, the IDF reported that its forces targeted over 100 military sites, dismantling compounds, underground tunnels filled with weapons, ammunition storage, and missile launchers associated with Hezbollah. The IDF also noted that during close-quarters combat, numerous terrorists were eliminated with the aid of aerial support.

Moreover, the IDF's footage release coincides with an escalating drone conflict, where Hezbollah has increasingly deployed low-cost First Person View (FPV) kamikaze drones to target Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, as reported by various news outlets. Recently, intense Israeli airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 39 individuals in Lebanon, according to the country's health ministry, with one strike in the town of Saksakiyeh reportedly killing at least seven people. The IDF, however, maintains that its operations were aimed at Hezbollah facilities.

Last month, a ceasefire was brokered by US President Donald Trump between Israel and Lebanon, which was subsequently extended for an additional three weeks.
