If a shop, mall, or restaurant demands more than the MRP for any item, you can file a complaint right away. The Indian government has established a national consumer helpline number, 1800-11-4000, where you can call directly to register your complaint. Additionally, a website has been set up for filing complaints online. Remember, you are not obligated to pay inflated prices.


For any product or retailer complaints, you can visit consumerhelpline.gov.in to submit your complaint online. When filing, ensure you include the product name, retailer's name, and a copy of the bill or photo. Once your complaint is submitted, the relevant department will initiate an investigation and take action against the offender. In valid cases, customers may even receive a refund.
