Horrific Case of Kidnapping and Assault in Surat: Woman Escapes After Brutal Attack

In a shocking case from Surat, a woman managed to escape after being kidnapped and assaulted by her husband and his friends over suspicions of infidelity. The incident escalated to a brutal attack where she was thrown into the Tapi River. Fortunately, she survived and reported the crime to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspects. This case highlights the severe issues of domestic violence and the courage of victims in seeking justice.
 

Shocking Incident in Surat

In a disturbing incident in Gujrat, Surat, a 35-year-old man is accused of kidnapping, gang-raping, and attempting to murder his wife due to suspicions of infidelity. The police reported that the victim was thrown into the Tapi River but managed to escape and subsequently sought help from law enforcement to report the crime, naming her husband and his accomplices.


The suspect, identified as Ganesh Rajput, allegedly attacked his wife with a hammer and stabbed her on July 24, fueled by his unfounded beliefs regarding her fidelity. The following day, he summoned his friend, Prince Kumar, 22, and took her to a rented accommodation in Deendayal Nagar, where they are said to have gang-raped and severely assaulted her.


Afterward, Rajput enlisted two additional friends, Vijay alias Kachyo Ishwarbhai Rathod (29) and Appa Jagannath Waghmare (39), to help dispose of her body. Believing she was dead, they bound her limbs and discarded her into the Tapi River. Fortunately, the woman managed to free herself and reached the Kapodara police station for assistance.


Authorities have registered a case of gang rape and attempted murder against the suspects, who have since been apprehended. Investigations revealed that Rajput, a driver by profession, has a troubling history with 26 prior cases filed against him at various police stations in Surat.
