Honoring the Sacrifice: Six Brave Soldiers Remembered at National War Memorial

The Indian Army has officially recognized six soldiers who lost their lives during Operation Sindoor, with their names now inscribed at the National War Memorial. Families of the fallen heroes expressed pride and gratitude, highlighting the sacrifices made for the nation. Seema Devi, wife of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma, shared her emotions, while his mother, Meera Devi, called for further recognition and completion of his memorial. This tribute serves as a reminder of the bravery and dedication of those who serve the country.
 

Brave Soldiers Honored for Their Sacrifice

The Indian Army's Operation Sindoor has brought to light the valor of six courageous soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation. For the first time, the government has publicly acknowledged the names of these fallen heroes. In a tribute, their names have been added to the Roll of Honor on the National War Memorial's website in Delhi. Furthermore, their names will be permanently inscribed on the 3D wall of the memorial in the section designated for 2025.


Wife of Martyr Expresses Pride in Her Husband's Sacrifice

On this deeply emotional occasion, the family of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma, hailing from Palwal, Haryana, shared their sentiments. His wife, Seema Devi, expressed immense pride, stating, "I, along with our village and the entire nation, am proud of my husband for making such a significant sacrifice for our motherland." She also conveyed her gratitude towards the government for honoring her husband by inscribing his name at the war memorial. Additionally, the government has offered Seema a clerical position in the education department. She hopes her children will follow in their father's footsteps and serve the country. Seema reminisced about the time when the Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Saini, visited their home after her husband's martyrdom.


Mother of Martyr Calls for Further Recognition

Meanwhile, Meera Devi, the mother of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma, praised the government's gesture. She remarked, "The honor we are receiving is a matter of great pride for us. I am proud that my son has brought glory to India." However, she reminded everyone of a previous promise made by the Chief Minister regarding renaming the village, which has yet to be fulfilled and should be addressed promptly. Meera Devi also highlighted the need for the completion of her son's statue and memorial, emphasizing that the site where his statue stands receives direct and harsh sunlight. She emotionally stated that a proper memorial should be established for someone who sacrificed their life for the country, ensuring they receive the respect they deserve.
