Understanding the HYROX Race Format
The Ultrahuman HYROX Bengaluru event adhered to a globally recognized race format that merges functional workouts with endurance running. Participants tackled 8 kilometers of running, segmented into 1-kilometer intervals, with each running segment followed by a functional workout station. These stations featured exercises such as sledge pushes, rowing, burpee broad jumps, farmer's carries, sandbag lunges, and wall balls, testing participants' strength, stamina, and mental fortitude. This format is designed to be inclusive, catering to both elite athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts.
Engaging Spectator Experience
The Bengaluru edition also emphasized a fan-friendly atmosphere, with over 12,000 spectators, primarily friends and family of participants, cheering throughout the event. The open and interactive race setup allowed close viewing access to each workout station, creating an immersive experience for both participants and their supporters.

Participation numbers have surged from 1,650 in Mumbai in May 2025 to 2,300 in Delhi in July 2025, and then to 3,350 in Mumbai in September 2025.
