Major Milestone for Rajasthan's Industrial Landscape


On July 4, 2026, a significant chapter in Rajasthan's industrial history will unfold as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) located in Pachpadra, Barmer district. This state-of-the-art refinery, with an estimated investment of ₹72,000 to ₹80,000 crores, stands as one of the most advanced petrochemical projects in the country.

Preparations Underway for the Grand Opening

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the refinery on June 28 to oversee the preparations for the inauguration ceremony. He conducted a thorough inspection of security arrangements, VIP movement, the public gathering area, parking, drinking water, medical facilities, and administrative readiness, instructing officials to ensure all arrangements are completed on time.


Why This Refinery is Historic?

Commercial production of BS-VI standard petrol and diesel commenced on June 22, 2026. Following its inauguration, this facility will emerge as the largest energy and petrochemical hub in Western India.


The refinery is expected to:

The state government, in collaboration with HPCL, is planning to establish 304 new petrol pumps across Rajasthan.
