Himalayan School Hosts Successful Student Council Elections
Student Council Elections at Himalayan Public School
Shimla
The Himalayan Public Senior Secondary School recently held its Student Council elections, employing a well-organized house-wise voting system that highlighted the democratic spirit among its students.
The voting took place between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM, with students from Classes VI to XII showing great enthusiasm. They exhibited commendable discipline, waiting patiently to cast their votes privately for their chosen candidates.
Students vied for the roles of House Captain, Vice Captain, and Junior House Captain within the four houses: Astra, Ignis, Terra, and Aqua. A dedicated team of teachers was assigned to oversee the election process, ensuring it was conducted fairly and transparently.
Mr. Anurag Gupta, the School Director, addressed the students, highlighting the significance of participating in elections and encouraging them to develop into responsible citizens.
This event not only reinforced democratic principles but also demonstrated the students' dedication to leadership and collaboration.
