Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal emphasized the importance of residents ensuring their names are on the list. Key dates include the final day for claims and objections on March 28, 2026, and the final publication of the updated lists by April 20, 2026. Residents can obtain necessary forms at local Gram Panchayat and Block Development Offices.

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal has revealed that the Himachal Pradesh State Election Commission has released a schedule for updating supplementary voter lists in preparation for the Panchayati Raj Institutions General Elections set for 2026.


The voter list revision will take place in all Gram Panchayats within Chamba district, except for those undergoing reorganization or division, with April 1, 2026 designated as the eligibility date.


As per the announced timeline:



  • March 28, 2026 – Final date for submitting claims and objections

  • April 2, 2026 – Resolution of claims and objections

  • April 10, 2026 – Last day for filing appeals

  • April 17, 2026 – Resolution of appeals

  • April 20, 2026 (or earlier) – Final publication of supplementary voter lists


Deputy Commissioner Repaswal has encouraged local residents to verify their inclusion in the voter list. Individuals wishing to file claims or objections should do so at their respective Block Development Officer’s office within the specified timeframe.


Additionally, he mentioned that the necessary forms for claims and objections will be accessible at both Gram Panchayat offices and Block Development Offices.
