DySP Vijay Kumar's Remarkable Achievement


Gurugram - DySP Vijay Kumar from the Himachal Pradesh Police has once again made the state proud by earning an individual medal at the All India Police Duty Meet Shooting Competition (AIPDM) for the year 2025–2026.


Taking place at the Group Centre of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Gurugram from March 22 to March 30, 2026, this championship has attracted elite shooters from various police departments nationwide. In the Pistol/Revolver event – 50 yards prone (SNAP), unsupported on elbow with double-hand grip, DySP Vijay Kumar demonstrated remarkable skill and accuracy, securing a medal amidst fierce competition.


This latest accomplishment follows his impressive performance last month at the All India Police Shooting (Sports) Competition held in Indore, where he earned two individual bronze medals, further solidifying his reputation in national police shooting events.


An accomplished international pistol shooter, DySP Vijay Kumar has proudly represented India at prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Olympic Games, where he earned an Olympic medal in pistol shooting.
