In a decisive move to uphold discipline within its ranks, the Himachal Pradesh Police has suspended three officers, including a Sub-Inspector, due to alleged breaches of service conduct regulations and misconduct during their duties. The department has initiated formal inquiries into the actions of all three individuals.


Gaurav Singh, the Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Shimla, affirmed that the department will not accept any behavior that undermines the discipline and integrity expected from police officers.


Reports indicate that the suspended Sub-Inspector is accused of breaching the Himachal Pradesh Police Conduct Rules by posting on social media about political matters. Officers are prohibited from engaging in or supporting political activities while serving, and this incident has been deemed a significant violation, prompting disciplinary measures.


Additionally, a Head Constable and a Constable were suspended following allegations that they consumed alcohol while on duty.
