Himachal Pradesh Governor Honors Young Shooters for National Achievement
Recognition for Young Talent
On Tuesday, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta, recognized two talented shooters from Delhi Public School (DPS) in Jammu for their remarkable achievements at the India Open National-Level Shooting Competition. He expressed pride in their accomplishments, noting that they have brought honor to their school, families, and the state.
Celebrating Young Achievers
The honored athletes were 12-year-old Kumari Dharya Kotwal and Master Lakshya Chetan Wazir. Kumari excelled in the 10m Air Rifle Sub-Youth and Youth categories, amassing an impressive score of 415.3 points and clinching two gold medals. The Governor praised her extraordinary talent, dedication, and determination at such a young age. Meanwhile, Master Lakshya secured the fourth position in the Sub-Youth category with a score of 409.7 points, showcasing his excellent performance at the national level. The Governor remarked that their dedication and competitive spirit indicate promising futures in sports.
Encouragement for Future Athletes
Kavinder Gupta urged the youth to engage in sports with commitment and enthusiasm, highlighting that success on both national and international stages is attainable through persistent practice and strong will. He stated, "Our young athletes represent the future of our nation. Their successes inspire other youth, and we must foster a sports culture and support talented individuals."
