Employees from the Bharmaur Forest Division, along with representatives from the HP Foresters Welfare Association, have presented a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh via the Acting Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Bharmour. This memorandum requests a review of the recruitment announcement for Assistant Forest Guards made on April 28, 2026.

In their appeal, the employees highlighted the vital role that Forest Guards play at the grassroots level, which includes safeguarding forests, preventing illegal logging, managing wildfires, and conserving wildlife. They urged the government to prioritize the recruitment of individuals for the long-standing vacant Forest Guard positions through standard hiring procedures.

Additionally, the memorandum pointed out that establishing Assistant Forest Guard roles could disrupt current operations and adversely affect the promotion pathways for existing departmental staff. The employees insisted that the existing recruitment framework be preserved and that regular appointments to Forest Guard roles be guaranteed.

Forest personnel expressed optimism that the government would consider their concerns and the interests of the department when making a just and suitable decision regarding this issue.

During this event, Avnish, President of the HP Forest Welfare Association Bharmour, and Kuldeep, the General Secretary, were also in attendance.
