Significant Meeting of Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti

A pivotal meeting was convened by the Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti at the Guru Ravidas Auditorium in Yol Cantonment. The gathering focused on the organization's past, operational methods, and the challenges it faces moving forward.


During the event, Vijay discussed the committee's impact in the Kangra district, while Madam Raka Call addressed the role of democratic organizations. Manoj Chandel pointed out that the Samiti represents a collective effort where individuals from various backgrounds come together to combat superstition, traditionalism, and substance misuse. He mentioned that anyone interested can join the organization by paying a minimal fee of ₹10.


Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary emphasized the importance of fortifying the organization to tackle future challenges. Other notable speakers included Parminder Singh, Ramesh Bhanot, Sukhdev Singh, and district president Urmila Rana.


At the meeting's conclusion, Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary put forth a proposal for a new executive committee for the Dharamshala Block, which received unanimous approval. The newly elected members are as follows:

The committee has committed to initiating voter awareness campaigns in preparation for the upcoming panchayat elections, which will involve distributing leaflets and conducting door-to-door outreach. They also pledged to enhance their anti-drug initiatives and expand their membership drive.


Following the conference, the newly established executive committee convened its inaugural meeting under the leadership of President Swarnlata. The session focused on membership drives, voter education, and anti-drug efforts. The next meeting is scheduled for May 8 in Dari.
