Today, the War Memorial hosted a solemn celebration of Himachal Day, commemorating the establishment of Himachal Pradesh as a province in 1948. The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Chander Kumar, the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, who laid a wreath in tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Governing Council, staff from the War Memorial Development Society, and various dignitaries. Key figures such as the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, the Superintendent of Police, and the SDM were also in attendance.
In a notable addition to the day's events, Col. Jeet Bahadur, who began a Motor Cycle Expedition on April 5, arrived at the War Memorial and was greeted with great honor.
This occasion highlighted the community's pride and appreciation for the sacrifices made by soldiers, as well as the historical journey of Himachal Pradesh.
