In a shocking incident in Noida, a stepfather attempted to murder two children by throwing them into a deep drain. Fortunately, two young men passing by heard the children's cries and bravely descended into the drain to save them. This alarming event took place on Tuesday night in the Sector 142 area of Noida.
According to Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra, the officer in charge of the local police station, Sombeer Singh and his friend Dinbandhu were walking near the Chauhan Market intersection around 9 PM when they heard the loud cries of children coming from the drain near a housing society.
Upon investigating, they discovered a girl approximately two and a half years old and a boy around three and a half years old trapped in the muddy depths of the drain. Without hesitation, the two men jumped in and successfully rescued the children.
The children revealed to the police that their father, Ashish, had thrown them into the drain. After bringing the siblings to safety, Sombeer promptly alerted the authorities, who arrived quickly and took the children to a hospital for medical attention.
Medical professionals have reported that both children are currently in stable condition. Based on the children's statements, the police have filed serious charges against their stepfather, Ashish, including attempted murder. The suspect was apprehended on Wednesday, and an investigation is underway.
