Hemanth Muddappa Dominates at FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship

Bengaluru's Hemanth Muddappa showcased his racing prowess at the FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship, securing two victories and a podium finish. Competing in various classes, Muddappa's performance has put him in a strong position for the championship title. Muddappa's Triumph in Bengaluru

Hemanth Muddappa from Bengaluru showcased his exceptional racing skills by securing two impressive wins and a podium finish during the third round of the FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship 2025 at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday, according to a release from the FMSCI.


Outstanding Performance in Various Classes

Competing for Mantra Racing, Muddappa displayed remarkable speed, clinching victory in the Unrestricted Super Sport 4-stroke category with a time of 8.269 seconds, narrowly defeating Hanuman Pawshe from Fast Track Racing India, who finished in 8.301 seconds. This victory allowed Muddappa to close the championship points gap, with both racers now tied at 55 points, while Alimon Sai Dalvi trails closely with 53 points after encountering bike issues.


Race Day Highlights

In the 1051-1650cc category, Muddappa continued his winning streak, finishing in 8.542 seconds, ahead of Mujahid Pasha (8.629 seconds) and Alimon Sai Dalvi (8.694 seconds). With this performance, Muddappa leads the standings with 75 points, followed by Pasha with 54 and Dalvi with 38.


In the competitive 851-1050cc class, Hanuman Pawshe emerged victorious with a time of 8.338 seconds, just ahead of Muddappa (8.367 seconds). Despite this, Muddappa remains in the lead for the championship with 68 points, while Pawshe has 53.


Muddappa opted out of the 551-850cc class, which had only two other competitors. Shaik Yunus from Madanapalle won this category in 9.655 seconds, followed by Karthik R from Chennai (9.930 seconds). Muddappa's tuner, Sharan, noted that the lack of competition was a factor in his decision not to race.


Winners in Other Classes

In the Girls class, C2 Racing dominated the podium with Lapis Lazuli from Nagercoil taking first place, followed by Shanti Chandra from Hyderabad. In supporting classes, Bengaluru's Syed Imran from Fast Track Racing India had a remarkable day, winning both the 361-550cc Twin Cylinder and the Super Sport 2-stroke up to 130cc categories, while also finishing second in the 2-stroke 131-165cc race.


Madhan Kumar from Mumbai claimed victory in the Super Sport Indian 165cc class, while Mujahid Pasha from Bengaluru secured the 361-550cc Single Cylinder title, finishing ahead of teammate Sarah Hayat Khan. The Super Sport 2-stroke 131-165cc title went to Prashanth S from Bengaluru, and in the Super Sport 4-stroke 166-225cc class, Ali Hussain topped the leaderboard.


Upcoming Championship Decider

The final round, which will determine the national championship winners across various classes, is scheduled for Sunday.
