Tragic Plane Crash Claims Ajit Pawar's Life

Baramati: New insights have surfaced regarding the tragic plane crash that resulted in the death of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, along with four others. Recent call logs released by the NCP on Wednesday indicate that he was engaged in a conversation with a dedicated party member just nine minutes prior to the fatal incident.

The last phone call, made moments before the crash, has become a deeply emotional topic among party members. When the audio of this final interaction was played at the NCP office in Baramati, many were moved to tears. Ajit Pawar lost his life in the plane crash on January 28 in Baramati.

Shreejit Pawar, an NCP member from Katewadi, was the last person to speak with Ajit Pawar.

He recounted their final exchange, noting that he had sent a message to 'Ajit Dada' regarding some work at 8:19 a.m. Due to the plane's likely altitude, there was no immediate response. However, as the aircraft began its descent and regained signal, Ajit called Shreejit back at 8:37 a.m. During this brief conversation, Shreejit raised a local issue.

In his characteristic straightforward manner, Pawar responded, 'I will call you back later,' before ending the call to prepare for landing. Tragically, this would be his last interaction. Just nine minutes later, at 8:46 a.m., the aircraft tragically crashed during its landing attempt in Baramati. Ajit Pawar's conversation with Shreejit lasted about one minute.

In that exchange, his passion for work and commitment to inclusivity were evident. 'I wasn’t so important that Dada had to call me right during landing,' Shreejit reflected emotionally, 'but it was his nature to respond to every message.'

Shreejit recalled Ajit Pawar saying, 'Child, we take all castes and religions along with us. We will work to ensure justice for everyone. I have nominated a candidate from the Mali community for the Zilla Parishad from the Supe constituency because it was an OBC reserved seat. We have accomplished what other parties failed to do.' To this, Shreejit replied, 'Fine, Dada. Whatever decision you feel is right is final. I will hang up now.' The conversation concluded there, moments before fate took a tragic turn.

A profound sense of sorrow has enveloped Baramati and the entire state of Maharashtra following the unexpected passing of Ajit Pawar, who was scheduled to address four election meetings in Baramati.

Shreejit mentioned that the audio clip was played as everyone wanted to hear Dada’s voice one last time. This final conversation highlights Ajit Pawar’s incredible work ethic and his commitment to serving all segments of society until his last moments.

As the state enters a period of mourning, attention has shifted to the investigation into the aircraft's technical failure, particularly focusing on the 'Black Box.'

The revelation of his last phone call adds a poignant dimension to this tragedy, emphasizing that the leader remained engaged with his grassroots workers until the very end.
