Haryana's Historic Budget Aims to Boost Development for All Sectors
Comprehensive Development Focused Budget Announced
In a recent statement, former Finance and Agriculture Minister JP Dalal emphasized that the Haryana government has crafted a budget for 2025-26 that prioritizes comprehensive development across all sectors. The budget reflects an increase in allocations for agriculture, irrigation, animal husbandry, aquaculture, and horticulture, along with various initiatives aimed at promoting these areas.
A Landmark Budget of ₹2.05 Lakh Crores for Welfare and Growth
The budget includes provisions for establishing government model culture senior secondary schools every 10 kilometers. JP Dalal expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Naib Saini for presenting this historic and welfare-oriented budget of ₹2.05 lakh crores, which is designed to uplift farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged, thereby accelerating the state's development.
This budget embodies Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'. The BJP has committed to providing ₹2,100 monthly financial assistance to women, and the 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana' is being finalized to fulfill this promise, with an allocation of ₹5,000 crores for the fiscal year 2025-26.
Significant Relief Measures for Farmers
Dalal noted that the budget offers substantial relief to farmers. Increased funding for irrigation infrastructure will aid in achieving the goal of delivering water to the last mile. The former agriculture minister highlighted that the budget includes provisions for thousands of solar pumps, which will facilitate the introduction of new schemes for farmers.
Additionally, the removal of charges for low electricity consumption customers will provide further relief in electricity rates for the common man. The budget also introduces new veterinary hospitals, dispensaries at the block level, and mobile dispensaries for timely animal treatment in villages.
In terms of rural sanitation, the government has undertaken beautification projects for ponds, with thousands of additional ponds being included in this budget. JP Dalal reiterated that the budget takes into account the needs of all segments of society, including the poor, farmers, laborers, youth, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and women, with new schemes designed for their benefit.
