Chandigarh: The Haryana police have initiated significant action against rapper Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, known as Badshah, concerning the dissemination of objectionable content on social media. Following the release of his recent song 'Tatti', an FIR has been filed, and the process to issue a Look Out Circular (LOC) has begun to prevent him from leaving the country. The police have also ensured the removal of the song from YouTube and have issued notices to all social media platforms to take down the track.
The Panchkula police have served a notice to the singer, requiring him to appear before them immediately. To ensure his arrest, multiple police teams have been formed to conduct raids at potential locations. Authorities have confirmed that the controversial song has been taken down, and efforts are underway to remove related reels and short videos from other music platforms, YouTube channels, and personal social media accounts. Any individual found creating reels or videos related to this song or disseminating objectionable content will face strict action. An FIR has already been registered at the Panchkula Sector 20 Cyber Police Station under sections 296 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.
According to the police, the video depicts schoolgirls in uniforms throwing their school bags and running away from studies, which misrepresents the school and educational environment. The song features a bus from the Jind Roadways Depot, and if it is found that the bus was used without permission, action will be taken against the individuals involved under section 120B. The police are also investigating whether the necessary permissions were obtained for shooting in a school premises.
Badshah Issues Apology
In response to the backlash, Badshah has issued an apology for the controversial song 'Tatti'. In a video shared on social media, he expressed that the lyrics and visuals of the song have hurt the sentiments of the people of Haryana. Identifying himself as a Haryanvi, he stated that he never intended to use inappropriate words regarding children, women, or daughters, and he will not do so in the future. His aim is to elevate the culture and dialect of Haryana. He apologized to anyone who felt offended by the song.
Objections from Various Organizations
Organizations such as the Vishva Hindu Parishad, Durga Vahini, and Maatrushakti have raised strong objections. Varun, the provincial minister of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, stated that such songs convey a widespread message in society. Indu, the provincial coordinator of Maatrushakti, emphasized that any content that disrespects daughters and women under the guise of entertainment will never be accepted by society. Neha, the provincial coordinator of Durga Vahini, along with co-coordinator Radhika, has demanded strict action against the singer Badshah.
