Arrest in Haryana for Espionage


Gurugram: Authorities in Haryana's Nuh district have apprehended a 26-year-old individual on allegations of espionage for Pakistan, according to police reports.


The suspect, identified as Armaan, was taken into custody on Saturday for allegedly transmitting sensitive information regarding the Indian Army and other military operations to Pakistan via an employee stationed at the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi, as stated by local police.


Following his arrest, a local court has placed Armaan under a six-day police remand for further investigation.


Police officials indicated that Armaan was caught after receiving intelligence from central investigative agencies.


It is reported that he had been sharing classified information for an extended period through WhatsApp and various social media platforms.


Upon examining his mobile device, law enforcement discovered conversations, along with photos and videos exchanged with Pakistani contacts.
