Haryana CM Promises MSP for All Crops Post Punjab Elections

Commitment to Farmers' Welfare

Chandigarh, August 2 - Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, announced on Sunday that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government after the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, all crops will be procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Saini made this statement while addressing an event in Kotakpura, Punjab, as part of the nationwide drug-free youth campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He expressed confidence that the BJP would secure victory in the Punjab Assembly elections next year. Saini emphasized that under Modi's leadership, the BJP aims to empower and enrich Punjab's farmers, similar to the initiatives taken in Haryana. He recalled that prior to the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP had committed to purchasing all crops at MSP, a promise that was fulfilled once they assumed power.

Furthermore, he mentioned that Haryana's Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana would also be implemented in Punjab. This scheme has established assured prices for horticultural crops in Haryana since 2018. Saini criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, stating that despite promises to eradicate drug trafficking, the issue has only worsened.

He urged the youth to stay away from drugs, highlighting that addiction not only harms individuals and their families but also weakens society as a whole.
