Haryana CM Highlights New Direction for Indigenous Development Under Modi's Leadership
A New Era for Indigenous Initiatives
On Sunday, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, the vision of an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) has given a fresh impetus to indigenous initiatives.
Saini remarked that the concept of self-reliance has been a cornerstone of India's freedom struggle, famously championed by Mahatma Gandhi as a means to promote self-sufficiency.
While inaugurating the 'Swadeshi Mahotsav-2025' in Panchkula, he stated, 'Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, indigenous initiatives have received a new direction aligned with the vision of a self-reliant India.'
Encouraging Youth Entrepreneurship
The Chief Minister urged the youth to blend their local skills with modern technology, encouraging them to become job creators rather than mere job seekers.
He highlighted the Haryana government's commitment to fostering youth entrepreneurship through various schemes, including the Mudra Yojana, Stand-Up India, and special subsidies for the MSME sector.
Indigenous Technology and Global Leadership
Saini noted that the development of indigenous technology led by the youth will not only stimulate new enterprises but also play a crucial role in positioning India as a global leader.
He explained that the concept of 'Swadeshi' has evolved beyond traditional products, now encompassing modern sectors such as technology, software, defense equipment, and semiconductors.
The Chief Minister added that the state government is consistently working towards enhancing local manufacturing to meet global standards.
He concluded by stating that India has become the world's fourth-largest economy and is on track to reach the third position soon.
