Haryana CM Criticizes AAP Government Over Farmer Aid Claims
Haryana Chief Minister's Accusations Against AAP
On Friday, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a scathing critique of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, accusing them of misleading the public regarding farmer assistance. During a press conference, Saini expressed astonishment at the extent of what he termed as falsehoods propagated by AAP leaders.
Saini asserted that both Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal made exaggerated claims about the financial aid provided to farmers. He pointed out that Mann stated farmers received ₹20,000 per acre, while Kejriwal claimed it was ₹15,000 per acre in Gujarat. Saini questioned the credibility of such significant discrepancies.
He accused Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal of deceiving the people of Punjab by lying about land compensation.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Haryana government has allocated ₹1,400 crores in aid to farmers, contrasting this with what he described as Punjab's betrayal. He urged the people of Punjab to support the BJP, claiming that the future of the state rests in the hands of this party. Saini remarked that the decision made by the people of Punjab, which was filled with enthusiasm, has ultimately led to their disappointment. He also criticized AAP leaders for their statements during last year's floods in Punjab.

Additionally, ₹4.5 crores have been approved for draining water from the Fazilka and Firozpur regions.
