Harsh Sanghavi Honors Champions at Gujarat State Table Tennis Tournament

Celebrating Table Tennis Excellence in Gujarat

A medal distribution event took place at the conclusion of the UTT 4th Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, hosted at the Sama Sports Complex in Vadodara. The ceremony aimed to recognize and motivate the victorious athletes. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi attended the event, where he awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes to the winning players, as stated in a release from the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office.

Additionally, Sanghavi presented the Sardar Patel Junior Awards for the years 2007-08, 2016-17, and 2018-19, extending his congratulations to the recipients. The annual report booklet was also unveiled by dignitaries during the ceremony.

This year marks the fourth edition of the Gujarat State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, with participation from 775 boys and girls across various age categories, including Under-9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19. A dedicated team of 30 technical support staff was on hand to assist the players.

During the event, the Deputy Chief Minister engaged in a friendly game of table tennis with Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi, encouraging all attendees.

Tiranga Yatra Launched by Deputy CM in Ahmedabad

On Thursday, Sanghavi raised the Tricolour and initiated the Tiranga Yatra from Raipur in Ahmedabad, aiming to instill a sense of patriotism among the populace.

This Yatra was part of a nationwide initiative to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram and to celebrate Independence Day, while honoring the courageous soldiers safeguarding the nation’s borders. The event was organized under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and saw participation from the Minister of State for Urban Development, Darshana Vaghela.

During his address, the Deputy CM emphasized that the Tricolour symbolizes patriotism from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, encompassing both rural and urban areas. He acknowledged the unwavering commitment of soldiers who protect the country under all conditions, urging every citizen to express gratitude towards these heroes and their families.
