Harry Styles Fans Rejoice: Ticketmaster Resells Canceled Scalper Tickets
Exciting News for Harry Styles Enthusiasts
Great news has emerged for fans of Harry Styles who were unable to secure tickets for his upcoming residency in New York City. Ticketmaster has announced that it successfully identified scalpers, canceled their purchases, and is now re-releasing those tickets at their original low prices, with some available for as little as $50.
Details of the Situation
On April 22, Ticketmaster President Saumil Mehta shared a statement on social media, revealing that the company had detected scalpers utilizing multiple accounts and false identities to bypass ticket purchase restrictions for Styles' residency at Madison Square Garden. This residency is scheduled from August 26 to Halloween and promotes his latest album, "Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally."
Ticket Ownership and Availability
If you have already purchased tickets directly from Ticketmaster or received resale or transferred tickets through your Ticketmaster account, you are not impacted. Your tickets remain valid. Additionally, this situation does not pertain to Styles' tour dates outside of the New York City residency. His tour, which runs from May to December, includes stops in cities such as Amsterdam, Sydney, Mexico City, London, and Sao Paulo, among others.
How to Request Released Tickets
Anyone interested can submit a request for the recovered tickets at their original prices; however, submitting a request does not guarantee ticket acquisition. Ticketmaster has indicated that priority will be given to fans who do not already possess tickets for any of the New York City residency shows.
Request Window Details
The request window will open on April 30 at 12 p.m. ET and will close on May 1 at 5 p.m. ET. This is a brief window, so fans should mark their calendars.
How to Submit Your Request
To request tickets, visit the Harry Styles page on Ticketmaster during the request window and look for the request links at the top of the page. You will need to provide your credit or debit card information when submitting your request. If your request is accepted, your card will be charged; if not, there will be no charge.
Fans can request up to four tickets for a maximum of five different shows, with a total limit of eight tickets across two shows. All tickets from a single request will be seated together, and they will be priced uniformly per show rather than varying by seat.
Post-Submission Process
Once your request is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. If you successfully secure tickets, another email will follow with your seating details and next steps by May 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET, at which point your card will be charged. If your request is not accepted, you will not receive any further communication, and your card will remain unaffected.
