The event took place in New Delhi on March 27, marking the third occasion he has been honored with this top accolade in Indian hockey.

A Year of Achievements

As per a statement from Hockey India, Hardik's performance in the 2025 season solidified his reputation as one of the leading midfielders globally. He played a crucial role in India's Gold medal victory at the Men's Asia Cup 2025 held in Rajgir, Bihar. Additionally, on June 7, 2025, he celebrated a significant milestone by earning his 150th international cap during an FIH Pro League match against the Netherlands in Amsterdam. Renowned for his tireless work ethic and playmaking abilities, Hardik also showcased his leadership skills by captaining the HIL Governing Council team in the Hero Hockey India League 2026.
