A Day of Records in Ranchi
Gurindervir's record-setting run was the highlight of an eventful day in Ranchi. Earlier, he had clocked 10.17 seconds in the semifinals, briefly setting a new national record, only to have it surpassed by fellow sprinter Animesh Kujur, who finished with a time of 10.15 seconds. However, in the final, Gurindervir reclaimed the record decisively with his historic 10.09s finish, securing his place alongside Animesh for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
